Scheduling Systems
Overview

For your patients to receive timely and appropriate services, staff resources must be managed in a prudent and cost-effective manner. The ability to easily identify availability, patient needs, staff skill levels, geographic area, teams, clinical specialties, and unique qualifiers is essential to the effective delivery of services.

The Progresa Scheduling System is a Microsoft Windows-based software application that can help you manage staff resources, coordinate visits across disciplines, and contain costs. It supports both patient and staff requirements. The system also:

  • Allows scheduling of visits by physician orders or manually
  • Provides standard scheduling patterns or selection options
  • Provides a warning when exceeding visit authorization
  • Coordinates clinician skills and availability with patient needs
  • Integrates with the our Clinical Documentation System for the Office, our Clinical Documentation System for the Point of Care, and our Home Care Management System
  • Allows bi-directional messaging with our Clinical Documentation System
  • Integrates data with clinical and billing systems
  • Validates visits against schedules and transfers information to billing and payroll
  • Displays multi-disciplinary schedules at the point of care
  • Enables schedule changes at the point of care and updates the master schedule on synchronization
  • Enables multiple views of patient and employee schedules
  • Defines and color-codes visit status for easy follow-up, such as unscheduled, unassigned, and modified at the point of care
  • Provides reports that enable visit tracking and status and unassigned orders
  • Enables users to easily create, modify, and cancel visits
  • Allows scheduling diversity for certified and skilled home health, private duty, hospice, and services

Synchronization with the Clinical Point of Care

Scheduling activities can be time-consuming and complex. The Progresa Scheduling System addresses a myriad of scheduling criteria to assure patient care needs are adequately addressed. The system streamlines the scheduling process and can help save valuable financial resources.

The system synchronizes with the Clinical Point of Care and shares data to enable appropriate scheduling activities. It supports quality decision-making regarding staffing issues and patient service delivery.

Reporting: Converting Data into Powerful Information

The system generates standard and custom reports through a report writer, so you can monitor and evaluate resource utilization. With the standard scheduling reports you can sort or select data by company or branch or select time frames for scheduling reports based on:

  • Availability
  • Unscheduled visits
  • Qualifiers
  • Patient-specific reports

Use the report writer to create report formats and store them in a report library. You can then view the data on screen or print hard copy reports.

Seamless Integration

The Progresa Scheduling System is integrated with the Progresa Home Care Management System to provide a comprehensive system that supports home care agency management throughout the delivery of care.
