Advanced Compliance Edit Software
Overview

The Progresa Advanced Compliance Edit Software is an innovative approach to managing the accuracy of Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) data. Through cuing and instruction provided by the OASIS knowledge-based system at the point of care, clinicians can recognize absolute inconsistencies in OASIS responses and identify potential inconsistencies in response data.

The software can identify the presence of apparent conflicts, which gives clinicians the opportunity to offer supporting documentation that justifies and substantiates the accuracy of the OASIS responses. The originating clinician can more efficiently correct inaccuracies in the clinical record at the point of care during the assessment process, because the software provides:

  • Technical edits - consistent with CMS data scoring instructions for absolute inaccuracies and new expanded edits for potential data conflicts.
  • Clinical explanation - defines the apparent conflict and is accompanied by clarifying statements and clinical action options to facilitate supportive documentation regarding assessment decisions.
  • Accuracy verification of the OASIS responses - which is enhanced by an instructional component, an OASIS tutorial, offering the clinician access to the most valuable resource information available to aid the clinician in accurate data scoring. The clinician is then able to offer a clarification statement supporting the decision.

Our Advanced Compliance Edit Software is a smart tool that impacts clinical care, documentation, reimbursement, and compliance. It can affect both patient assessment and daily internal operations. It addresses key aspects and elements related to OASIS that affect home care under the PPS: accuracy, compliance, quality, and reimbursement. The software can also help you:

  • Support improvement in patient outcomes by identifying hidden needs
  • Perform live OASIS auditing at the point of care to validate questionable responses
  • Support utilization of appropriate services and interdisciplinary referrals through enhanced patient assessment
  • Achieve savings through appropriate OASIS responses, more accurate case mix assignment and HHRG classification as well as provide effective documentation that helps you avoid down-coding or up-coding, inaccurate data, or deficiencies.
