Implementation and Training
Overview
Implementation and Training Progresa Health Systems remains very closely involved with you during all activities of the implementation to assure its success. Project Management is a core piece to the structured Implementation and Training approaches the Progresa team utilizes when working with customers. Our focused methodologies:
Below is a brief description of the major activities which occur during the implementation process.
After contract acceptance, installation personnel will be assigned to your institution. The contract will be reviewed in detail so that the Progresa team will be totally familiar with requirements that you may have. A kickoff meeting will be planned during which a detailed project plan will be designed and an implementation schedule will be drafted. Finalization of this plan and schedule occurs after the staff of both organizations have a chance to review, revise, and approve the plan according to your unique priorities.
Progresa provides both training and manuals related to database creation and management. These describe in detail how files and tables are built and the significance of each field. Progresa staff will act as consultants during this process, bringing information and examples from past installation experience. This activity includes the reviewing and matching of current system data elements into the Progresa System.
Equipment and network planning are discussed at the kickoff meeting. The Progresa team will work with your IT personnel to ensure the most efficient hardware environment is achieved.
Progresa has experience in interfacing to many major vendors in the market. Through this experience, Progresa is able to provide a seamless approach using the interface engine of your choice. Progresa's interface group is currently a member of the HL7. Standard interface protocols have been developed and are operational in other major systems.
Progresa Health Systems Software is tested in-house and through our beta site program before it is sent to your institution. It is then installed by Progresa personnel on the customer's equipment and tested once again to assure that all components are properly loaded. Once the facility-unique files have been built, the Progresa Health System Software is again tested in conjunction with your personnel to verify that it operates according to expectation. This is also known as the Acceptance Test Period.
As Progresa Health System software is loaded, technical staff and core users are trained by Progresa personnel. The Core User Group consists of qualified personnel from your institution who represent various clinical and IS departments to serve as the expert builders and users of the system. The primary objective of this training is to prepare the Core User Group (department super-users) to manage the Progresa Health System software.
Progresa can assist the Core User Group to successfully complete end-user training. The process of end-user training is completed by the Core User Group, who by now have extensive knowledge of the system and are in a position to provide the training, troubleshoot, and analyze potential problems. Progresa can also provide all training for all of your personnel upon request.
Progresa believes it is extremely important to support your institution with all necessary personnel during the go-live process. The Progresa Project Manager, Technical Installers, Support Analysts, and Developers may be on-site during this process, as needed.
Implementation tools are utilized to assist the facility and Progresa Health Systems in assuring the project is progressing as planned. The following tools have been successfully utilized in our customer implementations:
